Entries open for David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year Award!
Entries are now open for the 2022 David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation ‘Wildlife Artist of the Year’ competition, in association with BBC Wildlife Magazine.
Last year, ‘The March’ was shortlisted in the Animal Behaviour category of the Wildlife Artist of the Year award and was deemed ‘highly commended’ by the judges.
Known as the ‘Oscars of the wildlife art world’, this internationally renowned competition and exhibition creates awareness for biodiversity across the globe and provides both amateur and professional artists with a platform to speak up on behalf of our planet and its precious wildlife.
Since its inception in 2008, DSWF's ‘Wildlife Artist of the Year’ competition has attracted more than 13,300 entries, raising more than £1.2 million in sales to support conservation work in Africa and Asia. Every entry and artwork sold will help to turn the tide on extinction.
An expert judging panel will select the shortlisted artworks and the winners will receive generous cash prizes. The overall winner will receive a £10,000 prize package consisting of a £5,000 cash prize and a £5,000 conservation voucher donated to a DSWF project of the winner's choice!
Entries close on the 31st March 2022 – so, if you’re a wildlife artist or know someone who is, please let them know!
